Jennifer or Jenny?

With 20 years of real estate and design experience, my clients refer to me by both names. Either will do!

I am a licensed Realtor and work the New Orleans area. My design projects have often occurred outside of New Orleans - with projects on the Gulf Coast, in NYC and Texas.

Although I grew up and lived in Uptown New Orleans, I now reside in Arabi with my daughter and our beloved dog, Honey.

“My family’s long history in New Orleans has given me a sense of responsibility to not only preserving what was, but to also build upon what can be better. I love being a Realtor – there is magic in the process of bringing ideas into fruition and assisting my clients with fulfilling their dreams. This will always be home — New Orleans fascinates me and I’ve never felt comfortable living anywhere else.” - Jennifer

Born into a family with descendents dating back to the mid-1800s, Jenny Meserole is a born and bred New Orleanian. Her two decades of real estate experience have proven invaluable and is outmatched only by her intimate knowledge of all things NOLA. Raised amongst the beautiful oak trees of the Uptown area, Jenny fell in love with the unique and intricate beauty of New Orleans architectural styles, which grew into her passion about real estate. The influence of New Orleans’ blended history and culture is reflective in her approach to her client’s real estate projects. Her expertise with renovation and building upon the classic architectural styles she grew up alongside, while maintaining practical function, design and utilization of a property, is her signature style with clients.

What area of real estate are you most passionate about? “I get excited about restoration and revitalization. I love the process of bringing life back into neglected or forgotten properties and watching neighborhoods transform and come to life.”

What is your favorite architectural style? “Center or side hall homes and double gallery townhomes.”

What advice would you give to anyone looking to buy a home in NOLA? “Due diligence. Spend the money on all inspections that are necessary to make an informed choice about your investment but embrace the imperfections; they are the memories and history of the home.”

Your clients must look to you for advice on all things NOLA. What are your go-to activities when you’re not working? “I really enjoy visiting our museums and art galleries. We have a great community of artists here, and no shortage of landmark museums. Art is a bonding experience for my daughter and I – we like creating art together. We also enjoy music performances, being in nature, and swimming in our pool.”
